Being a big fan of trees and rocks, the idea of a painting with this title has been in my head for a while. It fits right in with my "earthy" series. I picked up the oriental tea cup at a thrift store. If they have a special name, I'd love to know.

  1. Apropos for Fall Karen and your rendering of rocks are right-on.

    Love the starkness!

  2. I like the soft colors in this painting. Good composition, too.

I don't know the name for the tea cup. It looks a lot like a sake cup, but the tea cups and sake cups look a lot alike. Either one you found a great little object to add to your still lifes!

  4. I enjoy seeing your daily paintings. I particularly like this one, with its earthy colours. You've captured the glaze on the "tea cup" beautifully. Thank you.
