Uncorked

oil 10x10 inches This painting is in a custom wood floater frame, about 1 inch wide, contemporary style, mahogany color. Purchase info here. I don't really drink a lot of wine, but I sure think the bottles are beautiful. In this painting I set out to create an abstract quality of design and also variation of transparency vs. opacity in paint application. I really like how this one turned out. I think the image is a bit blurry. The painting itself is crisp. Tomorrow I'm going out of state to visit family, so I won't be posting for a while. Thank you for your interest in my work.

Peach & The Giant Peony

oil 12x9 inches For a closer look and purchase info, click here. Peachy pinks, reds and oranges on a taupe background make for a soothing color palette here. Another painting that's much prettier in person despite my new camera.

Sit A Spell

oil 8x8 inches For a closer look and purchase info click here. We visited artsy Cannon Beach, Oregon a few years ago. This great old house was a studio gallery. Once in a while I like to use a completely different type of brush just to keep things fresh. I normally use flats or filberts, but this was done with synthetic brights. I really enjoyed the resulting geometric marks. IN OTHER NEWS: NEWPORT BEACH ART IN THE PARK is this Saturday. Come for the perfect weather and great art! 10-4 On the Civic Center Green, 100 Civic Center Drive. Artists for this event are carefully juried in for the quality of their work. You'll see many different art forms. Definitely worth the visit! I'll have framed and loose paintings, over 100 in total to browse through. Come sit and visit with me a while. I hope to see you there!

A Little Enchantment -SOLD

oil 6x6 inches For a closer look and purchase info, click here. I've painted a few pumpkins over the years, but I think this one is my favorite. I tried out Unbleached Titanium for the first time, and found it worked well in mixtures for the "white" of the pumpkin. To see more pumpkin paintings, look down to "labels" and click on pumpkin/s. These little paintings make nice decor, framed or not on a shelf or small decorative easel. MY DEMO THIS COMING SUNDAY is from 2-4 at 25571 Barton Rd., Loma Linda, CA. Cost is $5. Loma Linda Cultural Arts Association.
