More Progress

oil 16x20 inches While painting along I noticed that over and over again I'm mixing the three primaries. If you asked me how I mixed color for any part of the painting, the answer would be red, yellow and blue in different ratios. Backgrounds still scare me, so this time I'm taking the advice of a fellow blogger: go back and forth between object and background rather than saving background for last. Hopefully I can work still wet edges this way. Again, please excuse the glare.

  2. It is interesting to see how your work progresses! I really love the colors so far, and look forward to seeing the finished painting. How do you feel working large? When I have done small paintings for a long period, it seems so much more viable for some reason to do a large one!
