A lot of little girls love drawing horses. I wasn't one of them. My first attempt at painting a horse, it took me a while to get the drawing right, but I'm really happy with this one. This is a friend of ours going about his daily chores at Amy's Farm.
Fantabulous. The body language of both of them is awesome, and they kind of mirror each other. Wonderful mood.
ReplyDeleteWonderful composition. Such a nice shadow, blues on the figure, and markings on the horse.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great story this tells....the light on the back end of the horse is perfect along with perfect shapes!
Merveilleux travail.
Gros bisous
I love this scene. Everything is "dappled". You can really feel the day. I was one of those little girls. I was obsessed with drawing horses, and although I don't paint them now, I can still sit down and draw one from memory. You did a great job with this one.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the horse but I love the way you painted the light on your friend. You do so well with dappled light.
ReplyDeleteI see a 'sold' on this. YEAH!
ReplyDeleteOoooh! The shadows.
