I took some photos of the old bikes at Treasures & Junk in Ontario. Sometimes called "beater bikes" by serious cyclists, they're all beat up and pretty much theft proof. Great for riding around in the city. Painting from photos lately I'm seeing progress. Finally I can make it a painting rather than just a copy of a photo. Simplifying shapes, loose brushwork and not fussing it to death.
Love the shapes, colors, light....all! Great job!ReplyDelete
Thank you, Carol!Delete
Oh wow Karen, looks like a cmplicated subject with all those shadows, great job. Have a friend who calls old cars, beaters..ReplyDelete
Hi Cindy, Yes, it did seem complicated. I had to slow way down and it took me a while. I used a fairly big brush and that always helps. I think a 10 flat and maybe an 8 for some of it.Delete
Bonjour chère amie,ReplyDelete
Un travail incroyable que celui de cette dernière oeuvre !! Peindre un vélo n'est déjà pas simple mais plusieurs et les ombres ! Bravo ! je vous félicite.
Gros bisous ♡
Thank you, Martine! It's always good to hear from you.Delete
