Glass is appealing to me as a subject because of it's obvious sparkle and shine. In this set up I also liked the way the bottles infuenced each other's color....and then there's the light coming from behind between them. Fun to paint.

I'm just having a great time with these little glass trinkets! Some larger glass objects lent some size and shape variation to this composition. I capitalized on the colored light coming through into shadows, and of course the backlight coming forward between objects. The highlights are a blast because there are so many! There's a lot to look at in this painting. I hope you like it.

I love painting this little amber bottle. The golden glow makes me think of honey. That's a baby lemon, so the bottle really is small.
