Painted from life in the studio, Meyer lemons from our tree.  The image is a bit blurry, but the painting is lovely in person and not blurry!

IN OTHER NEWS:
It has been a long time since a new blog post.  I have been busy painting and doing so many other things as well.  My last priority is sitting at the computer!  For this reason, I'll no longer maintain this blog.  Instagram is the new blog as of several years ago, so if you would like to see my work nearly every day fresh off the easel, please follow me on Instagram:  @karenwernerart.  Even if  you don't want to use Instagram yourself, you can still set up an Instagram account just to access many artists' work as they create it, including mine.  I hope you'll give me a follow.  Of course my website is available and has links to purchase each painting.  karenwernerart.com

Linen and Lemons

Linen And Lemons  oil 6x6 inches
Purchase info here.

Lemons from our Meyer tree.  Sometimes they are mistaken for oranges due to their unique yellow color.  I recently learned that a Meyer lemon is a cross between an orange and a lemon.  Their taste is delightfully sweet!

Lemon Glow

oil 6x8 inches Purchase info here. Does this look like an orange slice? Nope. It's the beautiful warm yellow glow of a Meyer lemon. When tree ripened, they are definetely not a grocery store lemon yellow. IN OTHER NEWS: I still have openings in my March 21-22 Workshop.
