This one was a lot of fun. I used quinacrodone red in the previously posted pig's ear, and it worked here also for that hot color. These are my granddaughter, Grace's boots which added to the painting fun. I tried lots of background colors with them, but turquoise (a bit stronger than seen here) was the only one that worked well...reminds me of the fifties somehow.
These boots were made for walkin' Karen! NICE work! Love it!
ReplyDeleteSo fun! Are you giving it to your grand daughter? Perfect!
ReplyDeleteThose boots would definately make anyone's feet happy!!
ReplyDeletegood call with background color Karen :)
These are about the cutest things I have seen Karen! I love how you handled it all!!
ReplyDeleteKaren, what a sweet painting. I think boots are sometimes hard to draw...especially if they are worn a lot. These are attention getters! Painting something fun and personal always makes the process more endearing too! Your color choices are perfect....as is your painting.
ReplyDeleteI love it!!! I can't wait to put it up on Gracie's wall :)
ReplyDeleteThis painting makes me smile with all the fun colors! Thank you!!
