oil on canvas panel 6x6 inches
Last Spring I visited Amy's Farm, just a mile from our house where this very swiney pig was standing on the bottom rail of the fence squealing for it's breakfast. Very dramatic! We stood and watched a while. In my painting I tried to capture the feeling I got that day of a "real life pig": the smell, the mud and the obnoxious behavior.
Ya know- I think this pig is just still pretty darn cute. What is it about pigs? This is a favorite- look at that snout!! Makes me smile. Love his face, ears and that expression you captured so well!
ReplyDeleteHe's just great, Karen. Very piggy!

ReplyDeleteI really liked your last pig, but this is my favorite..great job Karen!
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't look obnoxious to me. He is very cute and very well painted.
ReplyDeleteI love your brush work on this pig! I've noticed him for several days on Fresh Paint, but didn't have the time to comment. I'm looking forward seeing more of your animals.
