Atomizer & Ficus Twig SOLD

oil on canvas panel 8x6 inches

Maybe I'm in a "dark period" with all these dark backgrounds! The thalo blue-green with dark reddish browns seemed a rich color combo to me. In terms of value pattern this is an example of large dark, medium sized mid-value and a smidgen of light.

  1. A gorgeous painting. The fabric seems like thick velvet, a nice contrast to the clear blue-green atomizer. I love the rich colors and the textural contrasts.

  2. Thanks, Egretta. I'm surprised. The fabric is similar to what you mention. It's a soft fake suede. If you hadn't mentioned it I wouldn't have known it came across in the painting. Thanks!

  6. You really captured the blue glass bottle or spritzer thingy. I love the way the green leaf vine cascades down. Very nice painting!
