The glass and bottle caps are my favorite parts of this one. For the dark coke color I'm using alizarin permanent, ultramarine blue and cad red medium. What a fun combo. Love the deep color variations you can get.
Oh a triple treat...love how each one is just a bit different with the light hitting it. Wondered how you got that gorgeous color so right on. I really like the caps too:) And that sweet little yellow highlight in the right one!
From someone who's getting back into painting late in life, I can't tell you how much I appreciate that you shared the colors you used for the Coke! So inspiring!
I really like both of your Coke paintings, Karen! The glow through the beverage is gorgeous! You did well on the drawings. I also like the red underpainting showing through the background of blue. It really adds to the nice, loose feeling of the paintings!

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful trio! So "Americano" and wonderfully executed.

ReplyDeleteI love the composition and seeing the red peeking through in the background. Very nice!
