Apple, Grapes and Greens

There's a lot of color appeal in this one for me. I'm pretty sure it would be considered a double (?) split complementary, but I used instinct more than theory. I just like those yellow greens with the deep purples and the blue with red. That's a shriveled up asparagus spear, in case you're wondering.

  1. Great job on this fruit! The grapes have translucence, and the apple looks crisp and shiny. I like the reflected light on the shadow side of the apple. I always find these two-colored apples very difficult. You make it look easy.

  3. I like how you cropped this so that you took off the top of the vase and the three corners of the cloth.
