I just realized everything's coming up orange for me lately! This is the last in my little series of ranunculus paintings. I've been painting oranges, went to an Orange Festival, and I'm eating the oranges that are all over my kitchen counter. The ranunculus have faded by now, but there still may be more orange paintings ahead. It's a happy color for sure.
Wow, beautiful painting! I love the colors and values in the pitcher, and the knobby texture. Wonderful lights and darks in the foliage. And I love the ranunculus. Just the right amount of detail. I love this one.ReplyDelete
I, too, love orange, and this is such a happy painting. The reflected colors in the pitcher are great.ReplyDelete
Karen, these are delightful....but I also adore the vintage orange truck. Just learned you are in Southern Cal....I am in South Pasadena...are we close.ReplyDelete
ranuculus.... my absolute FAVORITE flower. tried many times to get them and grow them... ha ! they always 'out smart' me and die... guess I've got the wrong climate... Love your painting,Karen... it is a great perspective, and great movement.... colors and shapes are joyful ! super jobReplyDelete
This is beautiful Karen and I love everything about it! In fact, I love all of the ranuculus paintings that you have done! I have never tried painting these but must do that sometime.ReplyDelete
