Twigs & Wedges SOLD

oil on canvas panel 6x6 inches

Tonight I'm posting from St. George, Utah on our way home. It's been a fantastic trip with beautiful sights and a great visit with family in Meridian, Idaho. I'm very ready to get home and back to painting. For the painting above (done before I left) I clipped branches hanging over from our neighbor's yard and used the last bits of my garage sale lemons. Can't wait to get back into my paint cave!

  1. This has a really nice fresh feel to it. Love the colors. Nice job on the glass too. I'm really drawn to the shapes of the leaves on the upper right too. Glad you had a nice vacation, and I know what you mean about being eager to get back to the easel.

  2. If it's on your side of the fence, it's yours! Lovely painting. I like how the yellow underpainting peeks through. The lemons are perfect--wonderful values on the different wedges. I like the composition, too. Glad you had a great visit!
